Road, street and railroad line building

Municipal engineering and road, street and railroad line building comprises the major part of our company's turnover. A large number of various roads are built all over Finland every year. In addition to these constructions we also make a lot of cable routings.

Projects are carried out completely, beginning from clearance works and ending with surface and green works.

Earth building and foundation works

Every building project begins with foundation constructions and earth building works. These accomplishments usually remain hidden in the final structure, but without proper foundations the structures won't stay upright.

In addition to normal earth building works, various supporting structures and groundwater lowering are often needed to ensure successful digging and construction works. H&P has its own equipment and materials for this matter. We've even developed a new TerraFrost™ frosting method in order to actualize even the most difficult foundation solutions.

We deliver all required materials for the projects.

Bridges and structures

H&P belongs to the group of 'large and demanding bridges' according to a classification by Finnish Road Administration. Every year we build a great number of bridges in different parts of Finland. These projects are often linked with road and street building projects of the same contract.

We have special expertise particularly in movable bridges connected with railroad line projects. In these cases the bridge is built ready next to the lineside. During traffic interruption the bridge will be moved to its definitive place.

Other structures worth mentioning are noise walls (including foundations), which H&P has built several kilometres of concrete, wood and metal.

Water supply and sewerage engineering

H&P provides large-scale water supply and sewerage works with the help of its own competent installation group. Water pipe and sewer works are built as pressure pipings and slope sewers. Every year dozens of kilometres different pipings are made.

In addition to normal digging works, we also use different supporting and groundwater lowering methods in deep excavations. We have all necessary excavation elements, retaining walls and groundwater lowering equipment.

We deliver all materials and equipment for water supply and sewerage, as well as stone elements.

Measurement and designing services

H&P has three very professional measurement groups. Leaders of every group have over 10 years of experience within measurement works. With the help of latest equipment and programs, it is possible to print and record measurements in a desired format.

H&P also does designing work. We primarily concentrate on designing projects related to foundation construction and geotechnics. For this our company uses Plaxis, the most advanced element calculation program currently available.

Yard works and greenworks

No project is completed without finishing works. Plants, groundcovers, soilings, grassings and pavings make the building site tempting and attractive.

Whether the target is a house or a larger project, we carry out all finishing works with necessary materials.
